Vakil bath is a historical public bath in Shiraz which was built at the behest of Karim Khan Zand, founder of Zand dynasty in 1187 AH. Inside this bath you can see beautiful decoration and special architectural tactics which is suitable for bath utilization. Actually, its reputation is about unique art and architecture that smart and well-known architects built there.



Vakil bath architecture

This historical bath is one of the biggest baths in comparison to all baths built at its own age with 8660 m2 area. As an example, this bath has two entrances. First you have to pass through a small door that opens to the outside of the bath, and you see the second one after passing an incline surface. They created these two entrances in this way in order to prevent wasting warmth of inside the bath. The cloakroom has been designed and locate in angled position.

The ceiling is decorated with painting and built with lime. Of course, part of the painting is damaged during these years.
