Fire temple

In third century, A.H., In the age of Amro-e-Leis-e-Safari, Architects built Jame mosque of Yazd on the fire temple.

Dome house and Porch

They added the dome house and a porch to the old Jame mosque, under the government of Ala’odolah Garshasb-ben-Ali-ben-Faramarz in fifth century A.H. which its effects were existed until 13th century A.H. During the development the effects ruined and even got lost. The building ruined and in 724 A.H. Seyed Rok Noddin Nezam-Al-Hosseini built the current Mosque. Seyed Rok Noddin died before building completion, then after that in 723 A.H. Someone else completed that. His name was Sharaf ad-Din Ali Yazdi.

Tiling

Completion tiling of Jame Mosque of Yazd happened in 777 A.H. at Amir-Teymour. Khajeh Jalaludin Mahmoud-e-Kharazmi, Amir-Taymour’s son, added an inscription in Naskh script to the wall tiling of Jame mosque of Yazd around the dome and porch. Al-Fath surah (the 48th surah of holy Quran) has written there. Bahauddin Hezaar Asb was the calligrapher. But Mahmoud-e-Kharazm didn’t complete the inscription and after that in 819 A.H. at the age of Shahrokh Mirza, Nezam-e-Kermani completed the inscription. At that year Shahrokh Mirza ordered to add twelve Imams’ (Islamic religious leaders’) name and his own nicknames to Tiling of Jame Mosque of Yazd.

Jame mosque of Yazd includes three ancient mosques. Mentioned persons built such a magnificent building at different ages or eras for 100 years. The eventual shape of Jome mosque of Yazd dates back to Qajar dynasty. The light inside the dome house indirectly stems from white color reflection of plaster on walls and dome. And the view of three domes of Jame mosque complex. Each dome has its own tiling and painting.
